Comme l'an dernier, c'est l'International Night à l'ebs. Si vous ne connaissez pas le concept, allez donc voir le lien. Comme l'an dernier, le Sud-Ouest est bien représenté, mais cette année, je tente l'innovation technologique et je vais vous proposer un liveblogging pendant toute la journée, et même peut-être la soirée, pour être au plus près de l'action !
(C'est complètement inutile comme liveblog, donc j'adore). Il y aura des noms que vous ne connaitrait pas forcément, donc à la limite, jouez la à la Columbo, petit carnet de notes sur le coté du PC pour suivre l'histoire...
9:07: Pierrick et PJ sont les premiers arrivés, avec une partie des vivres. On commence à sortir le cahier de recettes, à faire chauffer les plannings pour la journée.
9:20: Les deux mêmes repartent à Wiesbaden pour trouver deux mètres de tissu rouge qui valent moins de 25€ le mètre. Les habitants d'Oestrich-Winkel ont des goûts de luxe dès qu'on parle tissu d'ammeublement... Je me lance dans une liste de courses/plats.
10:32: Après un petit épisode de Flashpoint (s01e09), je m'attaque à la playlist française. Je dois faire 3 sélections: une courte (6 chansons) pour la France entière, et 2 longues, une pour le Sud-Ouest, et une autre pour la France. Pierrick et PJ semblent avoir trouvé le tissu au Karstadt.
11:20: Switching to English due to multiple requests (Consti ;) ). Pierrick and PJ just went back from Wiesbaden. My list of food is ready, heading to the Rewe Oestrich right now !
12:18: Alex joined us on the way to the supermarket. The first dish (prune wrapped in bacon) is in the oven. Since we couldn't find the proper cheese in Oestrich, we are now moving to another supermarket, hoping for the best... Rewe Winkel, here we come !
12:39: The prunes are well cooked (almost forget them...). Glad I didn't fail on my first dish, but I was kind of disturbed by my two assistants...
13:08: Plans change ! Pierrick just went out of his group meeting, and is going to the Rewe to buy the cheese. Meanwhile, PJ and I started a little "haute couture" workshop :) Now we are ready to be dressed as Basques during feria time ! We are starting our second dish, the well-known tapenade.
13:39: Alex and I finished the tapenade and started the third dish, the eggplant caviar... But we started to get hungry, so PJ and Pierrick made a nice salad with duck gesiers . Today is really ALL about gastronomy. Lunch break, back to the oven in about an hour.
Lunch break :
14:49: Back to work. We just finished the eggplant caviar, after having saved them from burning... Everything look fine by now. Pierrick and PJ left us for a German lecture, so Alex and I are going to work a bit on the music / Powerpoint presentation. From what I've heard, the other French regions are doing well too (big up to Britanny !). I can't wait for tonight.
15:22: The French solidarity is playing. We spent a little bit of our extra time on the preparation of small apetizers for the East region. No real gastronomy though, only Comté dices with grapes, but as long as it helps. So now we are really working on our presentation.
16:02: The playlist is over, at least in its short version (6 tracks). The songs are the following ones:

17:06: Pierrick and PJ are back from school, and the tomato pies are going to the oven. Richard joined us, as well as Camille, Charlotte et Clothilde. Everyone is in a good mood, despite the catastrophic wheather outside.
17:39: Since we had some extra time, we did some more prunes with beacon. The tomato pies are just out of the oven, after getting a bit sunburned ;) I forgot the oven in warming up position, pies didn't seem to like that. Alex is desiging weird sculptures with the rest of the dough, I will take pictures of them if I have time. People are coming to my flat, which is turning into the HQ of the French cuisine !
18:40: I just arrived at the Kiep Center, and I'm starting to set up the table. It might be more difficult to continue this liveblog after 7:30 pm, since the event is supposed to start at this time, but I'll do my best.
19:13: Artistic touch of the evening: the sculpture of dough of Alex !
19:16: It's getting pretty busy here ! Everyone is running in every direction, the show is about to begin !
